For Just One

It breaks my heart to think of the families mourning the loss of their precious little ones in CT. Nearly a week later, the buzz is fading, but the pain in hearts of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandma’s and grandpa’s is not. While the rest of the world goes on, I imagine time moves more slowly than ever for those directly affected by this tragedy.

The only comfort I find is in knowing a loving, gracious and compassionate Jesus. A Jesus who says, “let the little children come to me”. A Jesus who surely ushered each one into eternity – a place with no tears, no mourning, no death – carried in his loving arms.

“When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?

-1 Corinthians 54-55

Our kind and gracious Savior has beaten the grave, not only for himself, but for all who call on His name. I truly believe the sting of death was not felt by those 20 little ones, the taste of death never on their lips. He died for each one, each individual laugh, each unique smile, each precious soul.

His love truly knows no bounds.
