“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

The box was long and narrow and only a few inches deep, made of dark grey metal with the number 128 on the end.  It was just one of hundreds, maybe thousands in the vault, all sitting side by each in the dark room.  Other than the number, there was nothing that set it apart from the ones to its right and left, nothing that distinguished it.

But what it held was of great value.

Yes, the box itself was worth very little, but the gift it carried – priceless.

This week God spoke to me about your identity.

He told me to remind you that you carry something of great value.

He told me you were His safety deposit box.

And what He has deposited in you is worth great value – in fact, it is invaluable.

It is His very image.

Dear child of God, do you realize that woven into the very DNA of your being is the DNA of the Creator?

Deposited in your soul is the likeness of Yahweh?

God with us.  God in us.

What you carry, this image, this likeness is priceless.  What you carry is to be treasured, protected, loved.

So when you feel you are less-than, remember He who is more-than is in you.

“Greater is He who is in you…”

And when you feel like a failure, remember you’ve already won.

“We are more than conquerors…”

And when you doubt your worth, remember –

You, precious one, made in His image, are worth

the life of His own Son.
