I have so much to be thankful for it’s hard to contain in one little blog. But I want to try because I really believe being grateful is worship. Lately I’ve been thinking about how to have a lifestyle of worship and I’m quite certain this is part of it.
First – God chose me. I’m so incredibly thankful to have a heavenly Father who thought me up and placed His image in me, a Savior and friend in the form of his Son Jesus who shows me how to live abundantly, and the amazing power of Holy Spirit – my comforter, my counselor, my connection to heaven.
Second – Wonderful family and friends. My husband who enthusiastically loves me and is committed to doing whatever it takes. I love you Alex. The rest of my family who inspire me by the way they generously live and seek God. My closest friends who believe in and encourage me towards my calling – and who have chosen to walk the narrow path in courageous and admirable ways. I love each and every one of you.
Third – Everything temporary. Jobs and the freedom to work part time, pursuing my dream of writing and speaking. A new house, which is peaceful and lovely and close to the river. A car, a full fridge, clean clothes, clean water, a backyard fire pit and much, much more.
I could go on and on. God has blessed me and I am so grateful for every good gift.
This weekend don’t forget to thank Him for His goodness. Choose to see the much you have been given rather than the much you still desire. Thankfulness scares away sadness, depression, discouragement and gives HOPE!
“Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:16-170
